President's Message

AACCASA meetings are typically held on the last Tuesday evening of each month at Ruth Parker Eason School in Millersville, Maryland. Meetings always begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.

The preset agenda includes introductions, general announcements, presentation/discussion on the topic of the month, a refreshment break, a problem solving/highlight sharing session, and group support and socialization.

New members and new ideas are always welcome.  Come check us out!

It's Chapter Election Time!  Yes, It's that time of year again - time for nominations and elections of board members for our chapter.

At our next meeting on October 31, we will be seeking nominations for the following chapter officers:  co-presidents, treasurer, secretary and two at-large board members.  If you would like to nominate someone, but cannot attend the meeting, please send your name, the name of the person being

nominated, and the position, to:  AACCASA,  P.O. Box 1470, Millersville, MD 21108-1470.

Elections will be held at the following meeting on November 28.  Please note that you must be a paid member of the chapter to vote.

October Meeting Presentation:  At our October 31 meeting, we will have a presentation by Elaine Williams,
a child development specialist

in Autism and related disorders.  Mrs. Williams is a Pediatric Psychology Associate at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital for children with developmental disorders, including Autism, as well as a Child Development Specialist consultant for children with Autism and related disorders at Pueblo Pediatric Therapy in Tucson.  She will be presenting to us "Autism:  Current Research Into Neurobiological Aspects and Educational Interventions."  Please plan on joining us for this important presentation.
